Getting started with SendFromChat
From sign-up to your first WhatsApp message in about 15 minutes — connect a number, connect your AI assistant, send.

SendFromChat runs your WhatsApp Business messaging — templates, broadcasts, inbox, auto-replies, chatbots and sequences — from a dashboard and from any AI assistant that supports MCP. Every feature works in both.
1. Create your workspace
Sign up with your email. Your workspace starts a 30-day free trial with every feature, one WhatsApp number and up to 1,000 messages — no card needed.
2. Connect a WhatsApp number
Open Connect WhatsApp in the dashboard. It walks you through Meta's side step by step (the same steps as our Cloud API setup guide):
- Create a Meta developer app and add WhatsApp.
- Copy the WhatsApp Business Account ID and phone number ID.
- Create a permanent access token (system user).
- Paste all three into the form — we check them with Meta before saving, and encrypt the token.
You'll also be asked whether the number has sent bulk messages before. If not (or you're unsure), we warm it up to protect it from being flagged.
Tip: start with Meta's free test number and your own phone as the recipient.
3. Connect your AI assistant (optional, recommended)
On the Overview page, the Connect your AI assistant card generates your personal connector URL, with step-by-step instructions for Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Codex and any other MCP client. See Connect your assistant.
Then just say: "Help me get set up." The assistant checks your setup and guides you through anything left.
4. Send something
- Reply to someone who messaged you — free-form, no template needed (inside the 24-hour window).
- Start a conversation — you need an approved template. Create one on Templates or ask your assistant to draft and submit it.
- Broadcast — upload a CSV or Excel list on Contacts, then Bulk send.
5. Turn on the webhook
To receive replies, delivery receipts and template approvals, point Meta's webhook at SendFromChat (the Connect WhatsApp page shows the URL and verify token) and subscribe to messages and message_template_status_update.
